collaboration: continuing the dialogue

Long collaboration is as much about continuity as design intent.
Over a decade of work with Thuilot Associates, S/U/M has developed a practice built on ongoing exchange—where fabrication, prototyping, and design development form a shared conversation. Roles shift naturally from project to project—sometimes leading, sometimes supporting—depending on where the work needs precision or interpretation. That flexibility keeps the dialogue active rather than resolved, allowing each project to define its own balance between design and making.
